Kenton CATS Clubs
Kenton Club Days are a fun and engaging way for students to explore new interests and build connections with peers and staff! All students in grades K-5 participate in three Club Day sessions during the school day throughout the year. All staff members—including classroom teachers, administrators, specialists, and support staff—lead the clubs, offering a wide range of activities to meet different interests. Clubs are designed to be enjoyable, low-pressure, and easy to participate in, and they also support Pillar 3 of the district’s CBAS system, focused on student connection and belonging.
Academic Team
Students who choose to join the Academic Team have the opportunity to participate in quick recall, future problem solving, written assessments, or a writing competition. Quick recall is a fast-paced team game that challenges students in subjects like math, language arts, science, social studies, and the arts. Teams compete weekly from January through March against other schools in Kenton County and the Northern Kentucky Academic League. Students also have the opportunity to participate in two Governor’s Cup competitions. It’s a great way for students to challenge themselves academically and work as a team!
Archery Team
The Archery Team is a fun and rewarding way for students to build friendships, set personal goals, and be part of a growing sport! Team members will learn proper technique, gain confidence, and compete in tournaments from fall thru spring. Whether your child is new to archery or already has experience, this is a great opportunity to grow, compete, and be part of a supportive team environment!
Garden Club
In the spring, students will have the opportunity to join Garden Club, a hands-on, fun way to learn about gardening and plant life! Students will plant seeds, care for their seedlings, and watch their plants grow over time. It’s a great chance for students to connect with nature, learn responsibility, and enjoy the excitement of growing something from the ground up!
Drama Club
Drama Club offers students an exciting opportunity to be part of a full theatrical production! Students can take on large or small speaking parts, participate in singing and musical numbers, or assist with backstage responsibilities like set design and props. It’s a fun and creative way for students to build confidence, teamwork, and performance skills!
Choir
Choir is a wonderful opportunity for students to develop their singing abilities, build confidence, and express themselves through music. In choir, students learn about vocal technique, harmony, and performance while working together as a team to create something beautiful. Participating in choir helps students explore the arts, improve listening and collaboration skills, and experience the joy of performing. It's a fun and enriching way to grow musically and connect with others who share a love for singing!
STLP and Technology Clubs
Both the STLP and Technology Clubs give students a hands-on opportunity to explore the exciting world of computers, coding, and robotics. These clubs help students build problem-solving skills, creativity, and confidence with technology—valuable tools for the future. It’s a fun and engaging way for students to learn, experiment, and grow in the world of tech!
